Before spending lots of money in the metal mold for mass production, it would be better to have a mock-up sample made. The mock-up sample can be used for engineering checking, marketing survey, and more.

Actech is able to supply you with couple different types of Mock-Up samples as follows:

1. CNC machining
   This would be less expensive than the RP (Rapid Prototyping) process, and is stronger although the dimensions are not that precise as RP, it would be good enough for dimensional and functional checking. To have a CNC machining sample, we need only 2D or 3D drawings.

2. RP prototyping
   This will provide you almost exactly the same as what your design is. However, it is more expensive than CNC Machining sample. To have a RP sample, we need a STL file.

3. Silicone mold duplicating
   Normally, the mock-up sample is for engineering checking, or marketing survey, and the quantity would be just one or two. However, if you do need more, you may consider to apply the Silicone Mold Duplication process. With the first Mock-Up sample made, or any existed samples, we can then "duplicate" a Silicone mold, and then Duplicate more PU casting sample with the Silicone mold. The unit cost of the PU casting is much cheaper than and kind of Mock-up sample. The silicone mold will last for about 20 cycles.
